Key Stage 3

On entry to the college, pupils are streamed separately for English and Maths, based on testing, Key Stage 2 performance and progress information from Primary Schools.  This streaming extends four ways when pupils reach Year 10.

 

Streams at Year 10

Grouping

English and Communication subjects with a strong Literacy base such as Geography, History and RE.

(L Groups)

 

Mathematics

(M Groups)

 

Numerate subjects such as Science and Technology.

(N Groups)

 

Creative Subjects such as Art, Performing Arts, Home Economics and PE

(C Groups)

Enrichment activities include:  Craft, cookery, gardening,library, music, performing arts, photography, trampolining and web design.
