Extra-Curricular Music

Music

There are number of ensembles in school:

• Wind Group
• String Group
• Classroom Jam
• Worship Group

Every year many of the students participate in Ballymena Festival of =Music and Drama   

Students who are keen to develop their vocal, choral or instrumental skills are encouraged to showcase their talent at the festival, under the careful tutelage of Mrs King and Mrs Nevin.

Choir

There are two choirs at the college who rehearse weekly throughout the year to prepare for special events and concerts as and when required

• Whole School Choir – Tuesdays (Period 5)
• Year 8 Choir – Thursdays (Period 5)

Orchestra

The school orchestra rehearse on Wednesdays from 3.30-4.30pm

All standards of Musician are welcome to join the orchestra. The Music is carefully selected and arranged for the individual needs of the pupils.
